  You pay a price for inexpensive college housing. Not being able to contact the landlord(s) on a direct line (they have an answering service that is hardly managed) is one of them. The area itself isn't super bad, but God forbid you have to rely on them for emergency maintenance or a lockout. There were maintenance concerns that for a whole year did not get addressed. God also forbid you want to pursuing buying out your lease or trying to get someone to fill the lease if you have to move. They don't let you do any lessee searching on your own (works really well with the "not being able to contact them system" they set up). One last note: they don't trust anyone, which happens when you screw with people.
