  When I came to Heartland I couldn't transfer or pivot. The therapy team worked with me to get stronger. They encouraged me to work on my transferring and pivoting to help me be independent. I got along with everyone. The nursing staff was always responsive.I enjoyed the activities, adult coloring, games, and socializing with other patients. It was a good stay and if I had to come back I would choose Heartland!

  The therapy, food and help were great at Heartland Peoria! The therapy team worked with me and encouraged me when I needed it. I also got a nice haircut from their on-site beauty salon. I would recommend Heartland Peoria for rehab. It is nice and clean and the people were so good to me!!

  My father currently resides at this facility in the dementia wing. The daytime staff are very good with him and keep him calm most of the time. They interact well with all patients. The CNAs could be a little bit friendlier, but they do their jobs. They do complain a lot though and it irks me. There are better places to put family members, but when you cannot financially provide for your family and they are on Medicaid, I would recommend this place. The #1 sign of a good nursing home is that it doesn't smell like pee when you enter it; the Heartland doesn't smell like that at all.
